Elo vs. Plate Finish

was this draw fair too?
Verdict

Renegade's title is fully deserved — the #1 Elo engine among the 16 non-qualifiers went 4-for-4 through the bracket without losing a single game (0 losses in 48 games total). The podium is close to Elo order too: Heimdall (#2 Elo) and Turbulence (#3 Elo) took the other two medals, just with Turbulence finishing above Heimdall despite the lower rating — a genuine result, decided in their head-to-head Semi-Final.

The one real outlier: Akimbo, the #4-rated engine of the 16, was eliminated in the Round of 16 — the earliest exit of anyone in the Elo top-6, losing to Heimdall (#2). Wasp (#6 Elo) also went out in the first round. Meanwhile Arcanum, ranked just #13 of 16 by Elo, fought through to the Quarter-Final stage. Small bracket, same story as the main draw: the best engine usually wins, but who you meet first still matters.
